Well, the most straightforward answer to this question is you post when your target audience has the highest chance of seeing your content. Well, I am going to try and explain to you exactly how to do that!

I found many guides for the best timings to post on social media. But none of them I felt, catered to an Indian audience. We all know that India has its own story and does not adhere to most of these rules. So I decided to dig up this issue and started my research

After talking to many people in the business, and browsing through thousands (SERIOUSLY!) of articles, I was able to come up with a rough number for the best times to post on social media. Do keep in mind that the best times to post change according to your target audience. This guide is basically for targetting working professionals for your products or services.

So always research your target audience, create a user persona for them, think about when they will be using social media the most. Think about when they will use a particular platform. Put yourself in their shoes and think. It is always important to put yourself in your customer’s shoes if you are selling any product or any service.

So here it goes, the best timings to post on social media in India are, Facebook every day between 1:00-3:00 PM post lunch, Instagram in the afternoon around 3:00 PM- 4:00 PM, Twitter all working days between 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM!

Here is something I have picked up from some amazing people I have worked with: Never think about making money for your clients(Not at the beginning at least), learn how to reduce their costs and they will not stop thanking you.
Stay on top of your campaigns at all times, if a location or a user age group is not generating enough revenue, EXCLUDE it! Just let it go, it is better to focus on your converting audience to drive maximum ROI. Figure out why the other audience is not converting later and target them specifically with a different campaign.  

Step 4: Trial and Error

You are never going to get it completely right in your first try, do not be afraid of that failure. Be prepared to lose money. Maybe the campaign would not be up to your expectations, but that is okay. Give time to Facebook’s amazing learning algorithm to optimize Ads. Yes, Facebook helps out Advertisers to reduce their costs by showing your advertisements to only relevant audiences. This ensures a good experience for the users as well as the advertisers.
